The patent of the Vicontex Ltd. is using hot-rolled steel plates and steel profiles instead of castings. The interconnecting of the pieces is realized by high-quality welding.
The material defects and cracks are hardly detectable and difficult to repaire in the cases of average products. A lot of waste products can be occured. These defects may decrease the load-bearing capacity of the products and the overloading can result in breaks. The centre of this tension is usually the weld seam of the corner-fittings.
